There are several ways to get to the Mandarin Oriental which is situated right beside Malaysia’s landmark Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) the heart of the city.
You can choose to travel by train or taxi. You have to purchase tickets for the Airport express train or Airport taxi at the ticketing counter at the terminal building immediately after you have collected your luggage.
If you choose to take an Airport taxi, they will be able to send you directly to the hotel. It would cost around RM75-85 to the hotel and it takes about one and a half hours depending on the traffic.
If you want to avoid the infamous traffic congestion, you can choose to travel by train. It can take you almost anywhere, quick and fairly cheap. Traveling at night can be tough due to traffic conditions, but between 6am and 11pm it should be no problem. The train- KLIA Express (single ticket RM35, journey takes 28 minutes, trains run every 15-20 minutes) runs from the airport to KL Sentral, the city's main train station located southwest of the city centre proper and catch the Light Railway Transit RAPID (LRT) to KLCC station & walk to the hotel.
